The packaging consists of two layers, printed aluminium foil and paper which are joined by a special laminating method with water-based adhesive. Lamination of both materials is done only by local - point of contact adhesive with both layers. Standard Al foil thickness is 0.009 – 0.010 mm. Flexibility, strength, and especially the plastic memory of the packaging are mechanical properties which are crucial to the packaging process. Such design ensures packaging breathability, enables cheese ripening during its incubation period, antibacterial protection and the conservation of the products' characteristic aromas. The laminate may be printed with gravure or flexographic print.
